Police: Masked Man Robs Dunkin' Donuts At Knifepoint In Elmont

ELMONT, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police believe a man wanted in connection with a string of knifepoint robberies across Nassau County has struck again.

The latest incident happened at Dunkin' Donuts on Linden Boulevard in Elmont just after midnight Tuesday. A masked man armed with a large kitchen knife demanded money from the register and fled the store with cash, police said.

Four employees present during the incident were not injured.

He was described as a black man about 25 years old, 6' tall and about 170 pounds. He was wearing a dark colored hooded jacket, blue jeans and tan work boots. He also had dark sunglasses on, a dark colored cloth across his face and gloves.

Police say he has struck 12 times in Nassau County since March, robbing Dunkin' Donuts, Subway and 7-Eleven stores, WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported.
