East Orange Woman Pleads Guilty To Causing Man's Death With Penis Injection

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A New Jersey woman pleaded guilty Wednesday to causing a man's death by injecting silicone into his penis.

Kasia Rivera, 38, of East Orange admitted Tuesday to delivering the silicone injection that killed Justin Street, 22, in May 2011.

Authorities say Street went to Rivera's home so she could inject his penis with silicone, which he hoped would enlarge it.

Street's death was ruled a homicide following an investigation and a medical examiner's determination that Street died of silicone embolism.

Rivera acknowledged that she wasn't a trained doctor or licensed to administer the injection.

Rivera had been out of on bail awaiting trial for some time earlier this year, but was ordered back to jail in May after a judge ruled she was complicit in an alleged scheme to bribe potential jurors.

Prosecutors have agreed to recommend a sentence of five years in state prison. A judge told Rivera she could also be deported back to Jamaica.

Her sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 19.
