Carmelo Anthony To Miss Thursday Night's Game At Toronto With Knee Soreness
TORONTO (CBSNewYork) -- If the Knicks hope to knock off the red-hot Toronto Raptors on Thursday night, they'll have to do it without Carmelo Anthony.
The Knicks' All-Star forward told reporters in Toronto on Thursday he will be sidelined for the second straight game with soreness in his left knee.
New York (22-25) plays at the Raptors (30-15), who have won nine straight, at 8 p.m.
The Knicks are 0-5 this season without Anthony. On Tuesday, they lost to Oklahoma City 128-122 in overtime.
Anthony said his knee -- the same one that underwent surgery last February -- is feeling better, but he wanted to give it another day of rest. He said he hopes to return to the lineup against the Phoenix Suns on Friday night.
