11/2 CBS2 Night Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS 2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Hello all, hope you stayed warm this first weekend of November - and enjoyed the extra hour of sleep as we "fell back".

Monday is going to start off on a cold note, with a Freeze Warning in effect for some parts of the Tri-State area until 8AM. Temperatures Monday morning will generally start off in the upper 20s to mid 30s, so make sure to dress warmly as you head out to work or school.

Things warm up nicely during the day with plentiful sunshine and highs reaching the middle and upper 50s across the region. While not as blustery as Sunday, Monday will still be windy with northwest wind gusts of 30-35 mph.

Weather is looking even better on Tuesday with highs reaching the lower 60s and just a few clouds. A few clouds roll into the area Wednesday with highs topping off in the middle 60s and around 60 degrees on Thursday. Some rain is expected Thursday into Thursday night thanks to a slow moving front.

Expect a cool down across the region following the mid-week warmth as temps drop into the middle 50s on Friday and lower 50s this weekend.

Stay tuned for the latest forecasts.
