Trump responds to Fiorina's 60 Minutes "green room" jab
The debate over whether Trump actually "knows" Russian President Vladimir Putin has moved to Twitter.
At the Nov. 10 Republican presidential debate, Trump said he's gotten to know Putin "very well" because they both were interviewed on 60 Minutes' 48th season premiere in September. Carly Fiorina responded to Trump: "I have met him as well, not in a green room for a show, but in a private meeting."
Trump responded via Twitter:
.@CarlyFiorina I only said I was on @60Minutes four weeks ago with Putin-never said I was in Green Room. Separate pieces-great ratings!

It turns out, it was Fiorina who met Putin in a "green room" -- in 2001, when both spoke at an APEC conference.
While the broadcast with Donald Trump and President Putin drew an audience of 15 million, this past Sunday, 18 million Americans watched as Scott Pelley reported from Paris on the terrorist attacks. The story included two chilling interviews with witnesses. Viewers tweeted this during the broadcast:
Disgusted by the nature of this attack. I hope nobody loses faith in humanity. We, humans, by nature are not evil https://t.co/RgJlAHFtfK

@philgoodstory The Paris piece was good but wish they had done the entire 60 Minutes on Paris.

Just two days prior to leaving for Paris, Pelley traveled to Wisconsin to interview the newly-elected House Speaker Paul Ryan.
The interview was conducted in Ryan's hometown in Janesville, where the speaker and his wife have decided to reside with their three children instead of moving to Washington, D.C. While in Janesville, Ryan took Pelley to some of his favorite local spots and tweeted these behind-the-scenes photos:

When the interview shifted to politics and policy, the speaker laid out his plans for social security. "We should change the retirement age to reflect longevity...to make the program finances work," Ryan said.
A liberal advocacy group raised this point in response:
The guy who demanded a better work-life balance for himself wants to raise the retirement age for everyone else. https://t.co/0hNRJJWusG

Another viewer came away with a different opinion:
Not a Republican, but VERY impressed with @SpeakerRyan on @60Minutes. So much more articulate and likable than ANY of the GOP candidates.

Last week, in Philadelphia, the late 60 Minutes correspondent Ed Bradley was honored with a road dedication -- "Ed Bradley Way" -- in the city where he was born and started his broadcast journalism career.
And then there's this -- an Instagram post from Questlove, a coproducer of the soundtrack for the musical "Hamilton," the focus of a Charlie Rose story on Nov. 8.
