Injuries as turbulence rocks Southwest Airlines flight

BOSTON -- Two flight attendants were hurt when a flight from Boston to Chicago hit strong turbulence, CBS Boston reports.

Southwest Airlines Flight 147 to Chicago's Midway Airport was forced to head back to Logan Airport early Tuesday as a result of the turbulence.

"The flight landed uneventfully in Boston, where customers were deplaned with no serious injuries reported," a Southwest spokesperson told CBS Boston in an email.

"The flight crew was taken to a local hospital for further medical attention," the statement continued.

Another crew was brought in and the 133 passengers went on to Chicago, about four-and-a-half hours behind schedule.
