Weekend Highway Closures To Affect Twin Cities Traffic

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – If you are planning on being out and about this weekend, there are a couple of major road closures you should be aware of around the Twin Cities.

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety said both directions of Interstate 94 in St. Paul will close at 10 p.m. Friday and won't reopen until Monday morning. Construction crews will be working on the Highway 52 Lafayette Bridge east of downtown, and detours will be posted.

There's also construction in Minneapolis and Edina. Highway 62 will be closed in both directions starting at 10 p.m. Friday between Highway 100 and Interstate 35W and will reopen Monday morning. Crews will be out doing work on the Xerxes Avenue Bridge. Detours will be posted.
