Vikings Make 11 Cuts, Roster Stands At 78

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Vikings announced Sunday that they've cut 11 players from the roster as the team's final preseason game awaits Thursday night.

The players released Sunday include running back Joe Banyard, cornerbacks Jalil Carter, Justin Coleman and DeMarcus Van Dyke, tight end Brandon Bostick, wide receivers DaVaris Daniels and Jordan Leslie, offensive tackle Stephen Goodin, linebacker Josh Kaddu, defensive end Caesar Rayford and defensive tackle Chrishon Rose.

Team officials have to make three more cuts in time for Tuesday's roster deadline. The final roster will be determined after Thursday night's preseason game at the Tennessee Titans.

That roster will be set at 53 players when the Vikings head west to face the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, Sept. 14.
