GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — The national champion University of North Dakota men's hockey team will pay nonconference games next season against seven schools, including archrival Minnesota.

The two-game series with the Golden Gophers is Nov. 4-5 in Minneapolis. UND also will travel to Union and to the College Hockey Showcase in Madison Square Garden in New York, to play Boston College.

UND will host nonconference games against Bemidji State, Canisius, Michigan State and RPI. The Oct. 15 matchup with RPI will serve as the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game.

UND will open the season with a home exhibition game Oct. 1 against the University of Manitoba. The Fighting Hawks will play a full slate of games during the season against National Collegiate Hockey Conference opponents. The NCHC playoffs begin March 10-12.
