St. Thomas Issues Safety Alert After Attempted Robbery Near Campus

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- The University of St. Thomas issued a safety alert Tuesday morning after a student was attacked in an attempted robbery.

Authorities said the incident happened at about 12:41 a.m. Saturday in the area of Summit and Cleveland Avenues. Police said an 18-year-old student was cut in the arm by two men after he refused to turn over his wallet.

The two suspects are described as white men between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 9 inches tall. One had brown hair and was wearing a dark green sweatshirt. The other has blonde hair and was wearing a light colored tank top and light colored pants.
