St. Paul Shooting Victim ID'd As 17-Year-Old Boy

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- St. Paul police have identified Saturday night's shooting victim as a 17-year-old boy.

Authorities say the incident happened at about 11 p.m. as officers responded to a report of shots fired near University Avenue and Prior. They found an injured victim who died at the scene, in the area of the Green Line.

Police are talking to witnesses, but no arrests have been made. Police do not think this was a random shooting.

On Tuesday, the victim was identified as John Marshall Broyles. Police say no other information is available at this time.
