St. Paul Ready For Playoff Hockey

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Wild will play their first home game of the Stanley Cup playoffs Monday night against the Dallas Stars.

It'll be Game Three of the series. So far, the Wild are down two games.

Mayor Chris Coleman says his city is ready for a win and for fans to flock to town.

"Down at the [Xcel Energy Center] and all the area around there, it just comes alive," Coleman said. "It's so much fun. They'll have the pre-party, but all the restaurants will be full, the bars will the hoppin', and hopefully we'll be celebrating a win tonight."

The Wild will take on the Stars at 7:30 p.m.

The pre-game party goes from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the parking lot across from the X on West 7th Street.

There will be a DJ, beverages at Happy Hour prices, playoff merchandise, and NHL alumni autographs.
