Police: St. Cloud Man Arrested For DWI After Crashing Into 2 Houses

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in St. Cloud say a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance late Wednesday night after he crashed into a two houses.

Christopher Lee Martin, of St. Cloud, was booked into Stearns County Jail on charges of fourth-degree DWI.

Police say Martin was under the influence of drugs when he went off road shortly after 11:30 p.m. on the 1300 block of Cypress Road. He then crashed into a house, spend across the yard and slammed into another house.

Both houses sustained significant damage, as did two cars parked in one of the garages.

Martin is being held on a detention order, police say, for violating conditions placed upon him in domestic violence court.

Neither Martin nor anyone in the homes was hurt in the crashes.
