Minnesota Man Dies In South Dakota Motorcycle Crash

LEAD, S.D. (AP) — Law enforcement authorities in South Dakota have identified the 57-year-old man who died in a motorcycle crash in Lawrence County.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says Eric Johnson, of Ramsey, Minnesota, lost control of the bike on state Highway 14A and it went in the ditch about 5 miles west of Lead. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before noon Thursday.

Johnson was alone on the motorcycle. The Highway Patrol says he was not wearing a helmet.
