Semi-Trailer Destroyed By Fire Next To Eagan Business

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A semi-trailer is total loss after catching fire in Eagan Thursday morning.

Fire crews got the call just after 7 a.m. of a pallet fire at Anderson Trucking on Loan Oak Road. On arrival, they found the semi-trailer fully engulfed in flames.

"What we're being told is that the driver had just backed in the trailer," Eagan Fire Chief Mike Scott said. "They noticed some smoke coming from underneath the trailer. The driver disconnected his semi-truck from the trailer and pulled away from the building with the semi-truck and left the trailer next to the building."

The semi-trailer is a total loss. There was no damage to the interior of the building but some on the outside.

The driver was not hurt.

At this point, the cause of the fire has not been disclosed.
