School Bus Tips Over On I-94 In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A school bus rolled over along Interstate 94 in east Minneapolis Friday afternoon.

The State Patrol confirmed that a small school bus had tipped on its side around Huron Boulevard at about 2:30 p.m.

The driver apparently swerved to avoid another vehicle and tipped on its side. Authorities said the bus had been cut off by the vehicle.

There were no students on the bus at the time of the crash.

The bus driver -- a 64-year-old St. Paul woman -- was reportedly not injured, and was belted at the time of the incident.

The ramp from Huron onto westbound I-94 was closed for a brief period.
