Prince To Receive Honorary Degree From University Of Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Prince is slated to receive an honorary degree Wednesday night from the University of Minnesota.

The university says it was preparing to award the Purple One with the high honor before his death.

Prince's sister, Tyka Nelson, will receive the degree.

Wednesday night's program will include performances from the university's School of Music, as well as special guest artists.
