Police: Brooklyn Center Teen Killed In Minneapolis Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities have identified a man who was shot to death early Saturday morning in north Minneapolis.

Minneapolis Police were called at about 1 a.m. Saturday to the 4900 block of Camden Avenue North on a report of multiple shots fired. When officers arrived, they found an adult male who had suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to North Memorial Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and died later that day.

Authorities have identified the victim as 19-year-old Jaylin D'vonte Davis of Brooklyn Center. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner ruled he died of a gunshot wound to his head and his manner of death was a homicide.

Police said no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Anyone with information should call Minneapolis Police.
