1 Dead, 1 Arrested After Brooklyn Center Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Brooklyn Center say a man is dead and a suspect is in custody Tuesday afternoon following a shooting.

The shooting happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of 66th and Camden avenues. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim died at the scene.

After speaking with witnesses and conducting a preliminary investigation, officers arrested a suspect at a nearby location.

Police say they believe the shooting was not random.

No names have yet to be released.

The shooting remains under investigation.
