Pete Seeger Celebration Planned In St. Paul

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Musicians will gather in St. Paul in May to honor Pete Seeger on what would have been the renowned folk singer and political activist's 95th birthday.

The concert — called "For Pete's Sake: Celebrating Pete Seeger's 95th Birthday" — will be held May 3 at the Fitzgerald Theater in downtown St. Paul.

Seeger died Jan. 27 at age 94. The singer-songwriter was known for such folk classics as "Where Have All the Flowers Gone," ''Turn, Turn, Turn" and "If I Had a Hammer."

Musicians scheduled to perform include Robert Robinson, Prudence Johnson, John Gorka, Ann Reed, Larry Long and Peter Ostroushko.
