Body Recovered Near St. Anthony Falls Lock & Dam ID'd
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The body of man recovered from the Mississippi River last Friday has been identified.
On Friday, the Hennepin County Water Patrol responded to a report of a body floating in the Mississippi River near the Stone Arch Bridge in downtown Minneapolis.
The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to the call near the Upper St. Anthony Falls Lock and Dam at about 1 p.m.
There, they recovered a body of a man, later identified as 52-year-old Michael John Wilson. He's described as between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall with brown hair.
This comes just two days after the water patrol recovered the body of 20-year-old David Miller, a University of Minnesota student who had been missing since last Tuesday.
The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident as a homicide
