Twin Cities turn cooler on Wednesday, portending brisk weekend

Wednesday's breezy, sunny conditions will close out the work week in the Twin Cities, but a major chill-down is on the way.

Thursday and Friday will be quiet and mostly cloudy, with highs ranging from the upper 40s to mid 50s.

Temperatures will fall into the 30s beginning Saturday and will carry through Monday. Expect lows in the 20s and wind chills in the 1s to 10s.

Snow is also possible on Saturday, with little-to-no accumulation and no travel concerns.

Temperatures will bounce back to average, and possibly above average, starting Tuesday and continuing for the rest of the week.
