Storms possible Friday night in Twin Cities; air quality alert for entire state all weekend
Scattered showers and storms are possible on Friday with pockets of heavy rain and gusty winds. Plus, weather officials say the entire state will be under an air quality alert until Monday.
The forecast high Friday in the Twin Cities is 85 degrees, with a mix of sun and clouds.
The greatest chance for storms comes in the evening hours with flooding being the main concern.

On Friday afternoon, weather officials announced that air quality alerts due to wildfire smoke will be expanded and extended until Monday morning. The northern part of the state will have the worst air quality (purple/very unhealthy), but the metro area won't be much better (red/unhealthy).
This weekend will be warm and mostly dry with highs in the 80s and comfortable humidity. Saturday afternoon should be nice, and Sunday will be warmer, with highs in the upper 80s.
