Cold weather advisory in Twin Cities late Wednesday through early Thursday

MINNEAPOLIS — A cold weather advisory is in effect from Wednesday night until 9 a.m. Thursday in the Twin Cities.

The clouds will clear overnight Thursday, with lows dropping into the single digits below zero, but it will feel more like the minus 20s.

Thursday will be mostly sunny but still cold with a high around 8 degrees, which is about 20 degrees below average.

Light snow returns on Friday, but the system could crank out 1-3 inches in western Wisconsin.

Saturday will be breezy, making the metro's high of 20 feel colder.

And then it gets really cold, with single-digit highs for the next several days.
