Spotty storm threat continues Thursday in Minnesota

NEXT Weather: 6 p.m. report for Minnesota on Sept. 14, 2025

A low-pressure system sitting over the Dakotas will slowly drift eastward into Minnesota between Thursday and Saturday, with nothing to steer it out quickly.

This will lead to spotty storms, especially each afternoon, through Saturday, but there will be peeks of sunshine and dry time, too.

Temperatures will stay a bit above average on Thursday, near 80 degrees.

Sunday and Monday are trending drier with more sun and highs in the mid 70s.

High pressure looks to nudge in by mid-week, with a quieter pattern filled with sun and seasonable temps in the lower 70s.
