Summer heat makes a comeback Friday in Twin Cities

Summer heat will start to make a comeback on Friday in the Twin Cities, and last through the weekend.

Highs were forecasted to be in the upper 70s to mid 80s on Friday, with scattered storms moving through central Minnesota.

Heat builds on Saturday, with temperatures that feel between the high 80s and mid-90s and humidity that would be typical for summer weather.

Sunday will feature highs in the upper 80s with a chance of scattered showers and storms in western Minnesota during the afternoon hours, with a marginal risk for hail and damaging winds. 

Monday and Tuesday will be uncomfortably hot for work and school, with forecasted highs in the 80s.

Highs will likely be in the upper 60s by next weekend, when the average high will be 71 degrees.
