A red flag warning will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for parts of western, central and southern Minnesota. The National Weather Service forecasts "critical fire weather conditions."
Wednesday is shaping up to be the nicest day of the week with lighter winds and highs climbing into the 70s.
The warming continues Thursday with highs in the upper 70s. Cloud cover will increase as the day rolls on, with a late chance for showers or storms.
Winds return Friday with highs in the mid-80s ahead of a warm and increasingly unsettled weekend.
Next week, highs should push into the upper 70s and 80s as a more active spring pattern returns.
