After foggy start, quiet and seasonal Thursday in Twin Cities

NEXT Weather: 6 p.m. report for Minnesota from Oct. 30, 2025

Lots of upper-level energy is spinning through Minnesota over the next few days, keeping things gloomy into the weekend.

After a foggy start to Thursday, the skies remain mostly cloudy in the Twin Cities with a sprinkle possible. The lack of sun keeps highs in the upper 40s, close to 50 degrees.

The metro can expect a lot of the same for Halloween on Friday. The best chance for any light rain will be during the day, with shower coverage diminishing toward dusk for trick-or-treating.

Temps reach the mid-upper 40s during the day and drop to the low 40s by evening.

High pressure tries to nudge in on Saturday night, but another fast-moving system slides in for Sunday. The day largely looks dry, but winds pick up with gusts up to 30 mph.

We warm a bit more back into the 50s starting Sunday and continuing into the work week.

Don't forget — clocks fall back one hour Saturday night with sunset just before 5 p.m. Sunday.

Next week looks quieter with a bit more sunshine.
