Sunshine returns to Twin Cities Thursday as temps finally start warming up
Warmth arrives Thursday in the Twin Cities after the last few chilly days.
Highs on Thursday afternoon will be closer to average at near 60 degrees under a mostly sunny sky.
The sunshine continues Friday with temps warming even closer to 70.
The only hiccup in the short term is an isolated shower early Saturday with a wave of energy passing by. That will also create a bit more cloud cover which will drop highs back to the low-to-mid 60s.
Behind that energy, temps cool a touch more for Mother's Day with highs back near 60 and more sunshine.
Another chance for a few showers arrives Monday night into early Tuesday, but it won't be impactful.
Temps warm back up into the 70s for most of next week.
