Sunday night storms in southern Minnesota; hotter Memorial Day ahead

Storms fire up Sunday evening in southwestern Minnesota and will move east across the south. 

The southern Twin Cities metro could see some storms between 10 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday. Hail is the main threat with a secondary wind threat.

Highs Monday will be in the mid 80s. Early Memorial Day risers in the east could see those showers moving out, but most of the day will be dry.

The first 90-degree day of the year is possible for some on Tuesday.

Wednesday's highs will be in the upper 80s with an isolated evening storm chance.

Highs will stay above average in the 80s through next week and weekend.
