Temperatures, clocks spring forward this weekend in Twin Cities

NEXT Weather: 6 p.m. report for Minnesota from March 7, 2025

A lovely weekend is on tap in the Twin Cities, with the nearly foot of snow dropped on Wednesday on its way out.

Friday night is expected to be partly cloudy with temperatures around 28 degrees.

Above-average highs will reign this weekend with Saturday in the upper 40s and Sunday in the 50s.

Two weak clippers make a run at Minnesota this weekend, but will only bring a few snow showers to the Arrowhead on Saturday morning.

Early next week remains quiet and turns even warmer with highs possibly nearing 60 on Monday before dropping to the 40s Tuesday and Wednesday.

There is the potential for a stronger storm late next week into the weekend bringing rain and/or snow. It appears residents in northwest Minnesota may see some snow flurries during the storm while rain falls in the rest of the state, but there are still many unknowns.

Spring ahead!

Make sure to move your clocks forward and hour on Saturday night.

It's also a good time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors and NOAA weather radios.

Enjoy the post-7 p.m. sunset!
