Sunny, spring-like Thursday in Twin Cities; cooler weekend ahead
A weak wave of low pressure — which has a few snow showers in the Arrowhead — will help things warm up nicely for the Twin Cities Thursday afternoon.
Winds turn out of the southwest, helping temperatures reach the low 40s Thursday afternoon with some sunshine.
Temps won't fall much Thursday night either, with clouds returning ahead of another clipper passing north of the metro.
Any snow showers stay close to the northern border, but winds will pick up even more for Friday — helping high temps return to the mid 40s with gusts up to 30 mph.
The metro cools back into the 20s both Saturday and Sunday behind that system.
Aside from some light snow south of the metro Saturday morning, conditions will be dry for the rest of the weekend.
The pattern looks quiet early next week, too, with temps slowly rebounding back into the 30s.
