Quiet start to the weekend in Twin Cities ahead of steady spring rain
With high pressure in control, expect lots of sunshine Friday in the Twin Cities with cooler temperatures behind Thursday's front.
Temps will still be seasonable in the low 60s. Clouds increase again for the weekend, but it will mostly stay dry aside from a stray shower Saturday evening into the overnight with a piece of upper-level energy.
Temps stay in the low 60s for highs Saturday, but jump closer to 70 Sunday.
Winds pick up Sunday with our next storm that brings widespread rain late Sunday night through Monday. Gusts reach up to 30 mph Sunday afternoon through Monday. That will keep temps in the 50s for most of Monday.
Clouds clear up a bit Tuesday with highs staying in the 50s.
The rest of the week looks quiet, too, with highs staying in the upper 50s and lows in the 40s.
