Minneapolis, St. Paul Declare Snow Emergency
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Both Minneapolis and St. Paul have declared snow emergencies after a weekend winter storm dumped several inches of snow on the Twin Cities metro.
Cars in violation of the snow emergency rules are subject to being ticketed and towed.
Be careful where you park.
The snow emergency rules go into effect 9 p.m. Sunday, when no parking will be allowed on snow emergency routes.
Starting Monday morning, there'll be no parking on the even side of city streets. On Tuesday morning, there'll be no parking on the odd side of city streets.
When streets are fully plowed, parking is allowed, even if the snow emergency is still in effect.
At 9 p.m. Sunday, all night routes will be plowed.
Starting 8 a.m. Monday, all day routes will be plowed.
