Minn. Vikings Sign WR Lestar Jean

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Vikings have added a tall wide receiver to their roster, announcing the signing of Lestar Jean Tuesday.

Twenty-six-year-old Jean, who stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 202 pounds, made only one start in 27 games with the Houston Texans. He caught 10 passes for 186 yards and one touchdown.

Jean will most likely serve a backup role to starters Greg Jennings, Cordarrelle Patterson, Jerome Simpson and Jarius Wright.

Jean is a product of Florida Atlantic and entered the NFL with Houston as a rookie free agent in 2011.
