Teen girl missing from southeastern Minnesota found safe, police say

A teenage girl from southeastern Minnesota who went missing on Thursday has been found safe.

The La Crescent Police Department canceled the alert regarding her disappearance on Friday. 

"Thank you to everyone who assisted in locating her and for sharing the information," police said in a written statement. 

La Crescent is about 175 miles southeast of Minneapolis, just across the border from La Crosse, Wisconsin.
