Katy Perry Performing At Target Center In August

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Katy Perry fans in Minnesota have a new reason to "Roar," as the Grammy-nominated singer announced she will be performing in Minneapolis in August.

Perry's 46-city "Prismatic World Tour" will make a stop at Target Center on Friday, Aug. 22 at 7:30 p.m. Ticket sale information has not yet been announced.

Perry has racked up 13 Billboard-charting hit songs in the last half decade, including "Teenage Dream," "California Gurls," "I Kissed a Girl," "Hot N Cold," and "Firework."

Opening acts for the tour include Tegan and Sara, Capital Cities, and Kacey Musgraves, who was recently nominated for a Grammy for Best New Artist.

Perry's performance will be three years nearly to the date since she performed at St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center on Aug. 23, 2011 as part of  her "California Dreams" concert tour.
