Itasca County Deputy Shoots, Kills Man

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- An Itasca County deputy shot and killed a man who allegedly threatened officers early Saturday morning.

Deputies say they were responding to a disturbance call just before 3 a.m. in Cohasset. They were approached by a man with a gun when they arrived.

The man was shot after deputies say he threatened them. The man later died at the Grand Itasca Hospital.

The names of the man shot and the deputy will be released at a later time.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating.
