Otsego Woman Seriously Hurt In I-94 Crash Near St. Michael

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 near St. Michael had to be closed Thursday night after an crash involving serious injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash just before 5:30 p.m. on westbound I-94 at Highway 241. The State Patrol says a 2017 Toyota Corolla was heading west on Interstate 94 near Highway 241 when it went off the road, hit a bridge base and rolled down an embankment.

Authorities say the driver, identified as 40-year-old Tracy Carlson of Otsego, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Westbound I-94 reopened Thursday night, and the crash is under investigation.
