Hunter Found Dead In Northwestern Minnesota

SHELLY, Minn. (AP) — Norman County authorities say they believe the death of a hunter in northwestern Minnesota was an accident.

The Norman County sheriff's office got a call from the man's family around 7:45 a.m. Saturday that he had not returned from hunting. Authorities found his body about an hour later in a wooded area northwest of Shelly.

WDAY-TV reports his body was taken to the medical examiner's office in Grand Forks, North Dakota, for an autopsy.

The man's name has not been release, but he was in his 20s.

The sheriff's office is still investigating.
