Gopher Women Fall At Nebraska, 74-50

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The University of Minnesota women's basketball team fell behind early Tuesday night and never recovered in a 74-50 loss at Nebraska.

The Gophers fell behind 10-2 early and trailed 32-28 at the half. Nebraska outscored Minnesota 42-22 in the second half to pull away for the win. The Cornhuskers started the second half with a 20-2 run to take control.

Shae Kelley led the Gophers with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Amanda Zahui B. added 12 pounds, six rebounds and four blocks.

Minnesota shot just 19 percent from three-point range in the loss.

The Gophers (22-7, 11-6) end the regular season at Iowa Sunday afternoon.
