Eagan Motel Fire Forces Two Dozen Guests To Evacuate

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A fire forced more than two dozen people from an Eagan motel Saturday morning.

Crews found heavy smoke and flames when they arrived to the Budget Host Inn on MN 55 around 7:00 a.m. The damage was kept to one motel room, but 25 guests had to leave the building.

No one was hurt, but firefighters did have problems accessing the water supply. The nearest hydrant was across the street, so crews had to shut down the road for about an hour.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
