Stearns Co. Dog Shot Multiple Times In The Face Dies

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A dog that was shot multiple times in the face near Avon in February has died, according to the Tri-County Humane Society.

Remington, or Remy, was shot six times with a pellet gun, with four of the pellets hitting the dog in the face. The Tri-County Humane Society took Remington in to nurse him back to health.

The dog was put up for adoption last month, but stayed at the Humane Society until last week when he began having seizures, according to the Tri-County Humane Society's Facebook page.

Remington saw several vets between then and Monday, when the Humane Society announced that Remy had died. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
