BCA Investigating Officer-Involved Shooting In Chisago County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- State officials are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Chisago County.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) says it happened Sunday at around 1 p.m. in Almelund, Minnesota when Chisago County deputies responded to a report of a suicidal individual. During the incident an officer shot the man, who is currently being treated at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

The BCA says they're investigating the use of force portion of the incident, conducting interviews with witnesses and those involved.

BCA investigators will turn over their findings to the Chisago County Attorney's office when the investigation is complete.
