150 National Guard Members Deploy To Kuwait

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A troop deployment ceremony brought out lots of people in Willmar Thursday.

The Minnesota Wild were also represented at the Army National Guard event, where more than 150 members of the 682nd Engineer Battalion prepared to leave for Kuwait.

Each soldier received a commemorative hockey puck. The battalion chose the name "Task Force Wild" when they began training.

It is a way to say thanks to our military members in a big way. We need your help to create a giant, record-breaking flag.

It is made up of panels covered with your signatures. You can digitally sign the flag online.

Just go here on your smartphone or computer to add your name and salute our troops.
