1 Dead In Stearns Co. House Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person is dead after a house fire in Stearns County early Tuesday morning.

According to the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, around 3:35 a.m. crews received a call of a residential fire in the 200 block of 1st Avenue South.

Upon arrival, emergency responders found the home fully engulfed in flames.

According to officials, three people were in the home when the fire started.

Two were able to get out safely. They were treated for smoke inhalation by Melrose Ambulance. The third person was found deceased in the residence.

The names of the victims have not been released.

The Minnesota State Fire Marshall's Office is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
