Zoo Miami Makes TripAdvisors Top 10 List

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A popular travel site's list of the country's top ten zoos will have the lions at Zoo Miami roaring with pride.

TripAdvisor has announced the winners of its Traveler's Choice awards for Zoos and Aquariums around the world—and Zoo Miami is on the list.

Of the top 10 zoos in the U.S., Zoo Miami ranks at number nine. The top ranking for zoos, in the U.S. and in the world, is the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska. The

"Travelers can enjoy a fun and educational experience at any of these popular award-winning attractions around the globe," said Barbara Messing, chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor in a press release.

The awards honor top travel spots worldwide based on the millions of reviews and opinions from TripAdvisor travelers.

Zoo Miami is the largest and oldest zoological garden in Florida and the only tropical zoo in the United States.
