Tropical Storm Karen Forecast To Degenerate Into A Remnant Low By Saturday

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Tropical Storm Karen is forecast to degenerate into a remnant low by Saturday.

At 11 p.m., the center of the system was about 350 miles south-southeast of Bermuda. It was moving to the northeast at 8 mph with 40 mph winds.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles northwest of the center.

Karen is expected to become nearly stationary by Friday night or early Saturday.

It should then begin to move westward over the weekend.

There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.
