The boat, named the Woodwind II out of Coral Gables, was fully engulfed in flames when Chopper 4 flew over the scene between Stiltsville and Matheson Hammock.

According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Lt. Felipe Lay,  two people were on the boat when it caught fire. They were both picked up by a tow boat in the area and nobody was hurt.

Both Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and City of Miami Fire Rescue sent their fire boats to the scene to douse the flames.

It's not known who owns the boat and the fire is now under investigation.
