MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Following a two county chase, a teen is in custody but it all started at a home in southwest Miami-Dade.

The home's fence remains knocked down and damaged.

The lady in that home, Lilia Angeles, said she had started the SUV, parked in front of the home, and left it running before she went back inside.

That's when she said she heard a loud bang, went outside and saw the SUV heading down the street.

Angeles said in Spanish, "When I went outside, the fence was already down. As I was running after him, I saw him around the corner and I went back and called the police."

She said the white SUV belongs to her uncle.

Angeles said she saw the chase on TV and her young daughter said, "mom look our car is on TV."

Miami Police first spotted the SUV heading North by Goulds Park on US-1.

It started in deep southwest Miami-Dade and made it all the way to Broward County and back into Miami-Dade, ending in Miami Gardens with 15-year old Alain Moss in custody.

As for the family whose car was taken, they not sure when they'll get their SUV back.
